Hi! I’m Tara Bullock Burton, and I’m a theme park addict.
Ever since I stuffed my hot pink hightops, giving myself the extra inch I needed to board Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Walt Disney World, I was hooked. I visit Orlando at least once a year and travel to California every couple of years to experience the West Coast’s thrills. Visiting parks closer to my Shreveport, La. home, like those in Texas, is a habitual weekend escape.
Though most of my life I’ve been a theme park guest, in 2012 I had the opportunity to work at SeaWorld Orlando as an Operations Intern through the SeaWorld College Program. I learned to appreciate the creativity, thought and organization that goes into making the park run.
When I’m not waiting in line for roller coasters, I work as an public relations manager at a science museum. I hold degrees in journalism and English from the University of Alabama, including a Master’s. To learn more about my professional life, visit tarabullock.wordpress.com.
